Here's a place to start. A lot of discussion in the archive.

George is giving you a great place to start . . .

I haven't used one a lot. Just got it a couple of years ago. Had a spot I couldn't use my tree stand in very well, so got a pop-up to use in situations like that.

I ended up getting a Barronett Big Mike. Barronett makes several that are tall. Mine is 80" tall, good room for my 60" bows . . .

Weight of mine is 19 lbs. It actually carries easily in its carry bag. I have a small three legged chair that has a back on it.

Biggest limitation to me from pop-up blinds is limited view as apposed to a tree stand or natural blind.

I took my first deer from the ground this past season from it at the spot I mentioned above. Shot the deer at 9 yards.

I brushed mine is some, and that I think from reading others infor helped. Biggest thing I see is that when the sun gets high enough the top can shin a bit. I may put some leafy material on the top to help hide that.

Tried posting a picture of what is looked like set up, but pictures are posting this morning . . .

One thing I don't quite understand is why brush them in rather than just make a brush blind with better visibility and no fear of theft if left in place for some time. Can you enlighten me? I used one for a while that I got on a trade--set it up on the edge of a field in plain view, never brushed anything in and had deer really close. But I did set it up before season and left it in place as I had no concerns regarding theft. I guess the deer got used to it being there and came to ignore it.

Hidden Hunter blinds.....made for bowhunters by bowhunters. Some may think their pricey but I've used mine for 6 years and it still looks and works as good as the day I bought it

I didn't brush mine in heavily; just enough to give it some 3D effect. I hunt public land and don't have a lot of time to let deer get used to it . . .

Here is the deer's eye view of mine where I shot my deer at last year . . .

Here is a picture from the inside looking at toward the scrape that is in the foreground of the above picture. Hope you can get a little idea of the room (height) in the blind for your bow (mine is 60").

Well that one turned on its side for some reason, see if this works!

That didn't work either . . .

Here is a picture from the outside (just after I shot the deer - arrow missing from quiver). It shows the brushing that I did to it and you can see the room (height) for using a stickbow in it.

Good blind and easy to set up an easy takedown, if you're in Minnesota $300.

Got a Big Mike like stringmaker's they set up easy, and pack in the sack with padded shoulder straps. Have plenty of room for stretching your legs & making a shot. Also have repair kits to patch it up,sold separately.Doesn't cost a lot less than $175,back when I purchased mine.I add a length of pvc to the center hub for late winter hunts.I paint the pvc flat black in the early spring or summer,so its ready for the season.I brush the top in and most of that Sun light. That stringmaker spoke about disappears.Do not have any dislikes.

I have two blinds, one being a Big Mike and is very roomy and easy to shoot from. I quit using them a couple years ago as I felt too constrained and couldn't see around me. I've since gone to brush blinds with a Ghilley suit and like that much better. Joel
