The Stu Miller calculator was a time saver when developing my latest hunting arrow for a mid weight bow.
Once I read the instructions [years ago] and then accurately entered the info....that calculator is dead on.
My arrow from the calculator bare shafted perfect....sweet!
I've seen where guys had problems- I recommend they carefully read the instructions ....as 1/6" off on your strike plate...or 1/4" on your DL....can really throw it off- operator error.
3 Rivers uses the same system...looks like a copy...or is it licensed to them?

It is indeed a great tool. Lots of folks using a version of it now. Stu also builds beautiful arrows. I think he got tired of all the flak here and left. Our loss. >>>----> Ken

I use 3 Rivers version a LOT! Even when I have a tuned setup, I like to see what little changes in point weight, or strike plate, etc would do.

3Rivers calculator is Stu Millers. It states it on the page, it's a condensed version and works well for me.

The spine calculator on the 3Rivers web site is from Stu. I worked with him years ago to get it set up. I have not talked to Stu in a few years now though.

Agree with both fdp and 2 bears. IF you enter accurate information, it has worked great for me. It is a shame that Stu isn't on here any longer.

Shawn...we know (or at least most of us do) that you and Stu had some kind of issue, and you haven't gotten over it. So why don't you stay off threads about the calculator?
You're known by many as suggesting people shoot too soft an arrow.

Stu's calculator is only as smart as the person using it, lol :)
Actually, the calculator has always been spot on for me and I'm really not that smart. :)
When I was starting out a few years back I found Stu's calculator a great learning tool in many ways.
Thanks Stu!!!

I use the 3R version since the orginal won’t work on my IPad. I like to use it to see if I can get an arrow to work even if it’s not the norm. like getting a 300 spine shaft to work from a 50# bow say. When I am serious it works great for getting me in ball park. Best results were for spine for wood arrows and a recurve.
