In Washington, just about any type of carp is legal except the Grass Carp.

Of course, the carp is edible...but I cannot find too many folks who will say it's "YUMMY".

Its legal to shoot catfish in Michigan, both flathead and channel. That's something I would NEVER do. I respect and love both of them too much to take them out the easy way.

Hey BATMAN. I've heard that the Asian Carp is supposed to be good eating. It's supposedly a white meat fish and , when done correctly, rivals tuna salad when prepared as such. Paddle fish are legal at certain times (checks local regs and limits) and is supposed to be great eating. Rays are supposed to be good as well...I've got some in the freezer I shot last year that I need to try cooking up. I've also heard that gar is good, although a PITA to skin. I've killed thousands of fish with trad archery gear and have never eaten the first one yet...most I wouldn't eat! Looking forward to trying the rays sometime though.
