The Lost Mohican's embedded Photo

Does anyone know the band of this knife. This is the best photo I have. It looks simple enough. Thanks TLM

I can’t see the mark clearly enough to take a stab at who made it but I like the profile. Lance

Could it be home-grown? Where did you get it? It's a nice looking knife, no nonsense.

I don't have this knife. I found a picture of it and can't make out the logo or what it might be!!?? TLM

Looks to me to be a Dozier, buy could be a copy.

There is a logo on the blade but can't make it out. Do you have a link to where you found the photo?

I too can't tell the logo, but I'm thinking maybe a Spyderco Bushcrafter.

I have it saved on my photos on a my mac because I liked how it looked. Someone may have featured it here on the LW and I copied it to my photos. I should have remembered what it was ((((. TLM

I copied it on Jan 10th 2018. No camera source but a J peg file. Oh well now I have something to ponder......TLM

I thought either Spyderco or Dozier also but came to the conclusion it’s neither. But it has a lot of simialiar design ideas. As near as I can tell with a 10 power magnifying glass is that the logo, or makers mark appears to be an X with balls on their ends like jacks. I looked on several sites and couldn’t find anything that resembles that mark. I’ll keep looking because my curiosity is up tp 9! Lance

Lance Thanks, I'm going over old searches etc. too. TLM

Looks like a Dozier DK-3, but can't say for sure.

I looked at every Dozier I could find, but none match. TLM

So out of curiosity what is you like about this knife? Please understand I am curious because I want to make the perfect knife.... and I just like them all

Helle?

Its simple, with a handle that will fill my hand, and a blade that is just the right size for field dressing camping, and general use. It looks like the back would be great for striking a spark too. I think I might have taken the photo from a thread here on bushcraft knives, but not certain. Anyway I want one and hope to find one sooner than later! TLM

Looks like a John shore design . He was a bladesmith in Augsburg Germany.

I know its a production knife and not a custom, as I wouldn't have saved a picture if it was a lot of $$. I've eliminated Helle by reviewing all there knives as well as Bear and Son. I really think I copied it from one of Frisky's knife threads back in January. TLM
