I have a 59" flemish skinny string with padded loops that would fit my 62" longbow, only the loops are too large for the small limb tips. Can I twist the loops...make them smaller...for my longbow. I know there will be a bump in the string grooves where the loops are twisted. Will this work, or will it be a bad idea?????

Don't twist them.

You can serve/neck them down to the size you want relatively easily, and that is what I recommend.

I’ve done that before, to strings I made that had loops that were a little too big.

It don't take a lot of serving to do the trick.

About 1/2 to 1 inch will be plenty enough to hold.

There are some very white servings, that become translucent when served on tight, and they allow the colors to show through, so if you wanted to get & use some of that, the appearance of the string would remain relatively the same.

PM SteveBNY on here, and he'll tell you waht to use, because I don't remember.

Here's another question.....will an endless loop be OK?

It shouldn't dig into the limbs, right?

White Halo .014 - put on tight and rub just a bit of mineral or baby oil on. Will go almost clear
