Just thought I would let y’all know that in the new Bowhunter magazine they have a write up about Nathan Anderson and him completing the Super Slam with a Longbow. I have not read it yet but will before the night is out.

In todays world or yesterdays world 99.9% of trad archers couldn't afford to try for a grand slam. Congrats to Nathan for a great accomplishment.

A great accomplishment but as a longbow-only hunter for 25+ years I have always maintained they are the easiest weapon to hunt with, not the hardest. Longbows are easy to tune and maintain, relatively easy to shoot accurately and quickly (from almost any position or angle) and game is either in range or it’s not. Simple and extremely reliable bows to hunt with.

Completed that slam a few years ago, i believe. Think he's well on his way to completing a second. Cost of some licenses/hunts are becoming prohibitive though.
