Hey guys any idea on what this bow might be? Picked it up for a few bucks at a rummage sale. No decals. 64". Brown and gray glass. Looks like a 50s Kodiak special maybe? It's cleaning up nice so far.

Loctite 420 did wonders on the stress lines. Hard to see them after a coat of clear.

A nice strike plate should cover up the holes

Yep a Kodiak Special for sure. Judging by the tips I'd venture a guess of 1955-56.

Nice bow.

Scaled at 33.5# before the refinish, can't wait to see what it scales at once it's done. Should be a fun little shooter.

Matt R: I like how you said "it's cleaning up nice so far"....

Can you say "understatement"??!!

That's a mighty fine "clean up" you've done, giving due justice to a classic, getting it ready to live again.

I'd say "Kudos" !!

Matt, super find and like you said it will be a fun bow and one I would shoot a lot.

Ditto on Harry Carry's statement....Ha!Ha!

Nice work.

Well done! I just love giving these old bows a new look too and then shooting the heck out of them. Lance
