I just got a new to me Schafer silvertip one piece im waiting for it to get to me I've owned and shot take-downs but not a one piece just like to see some and get some information

From: Zagnee

Man, I want to order one so bad at the moment, but need to save up.

I'm fortunate to currently own a couple 1-piece Silvertips and have owned a couple of others in the past... I understand your excitement, you won't be disappointed. Here's a couple of pics of mine, past & present, to fuel your anxiety until that box shows up on your doorstep!

This is probably the prettiest Schafer I've ever owned and she is a shooter... 60", 54@28, Shedua riser, KOA limbs, smooth sheephorn tips and riser overlay.

Original Paul Schafer 60", 69#@30.25"... I will be forever grateful to my best friend Mingo who gifted this to me recently. She is very fast, hits hard, and "shoots where you look", like all originals.

60", 56@28, Walnut Dyamondwood riser, Curly Maple Limbs... traded this one for a Silvertip takedown with a fellow LWer and now very good friend.

Last but not least, another former 1 piece that I traded in 3- way deal for the pretty Shedua 1 piece posted above... 60", 54@28, Cocobola riser with Yew limbs.

Hope these pics get you amp'd up, best of luck and enjoy that new 1 piece!

Dang Oly, I have a takedown on order and your pictures are making me salivate, I just opened the thread to see some Silvertips lol and that may not have been a good idea ??

There was a lefty in the classifieds at a very reasonable price

From: Zagnee
Date: 11-Jul-18

Yeah that bow made me want to switch to lefty.

From: David McLendon
Date: 11-Jul-18

You won't see a lot of custom left handers, we are 10% of the population and tend to order custom and really build them out to heirloom level. They don't come up that often. Lefties run in my family every other generation and the bows tend to travel down the line. A built out Southpaw Schafer 1 piece is a rare bird.

I have an original one piece, serial number 485... there wasn't much interest when I tried selling the bow... wasn't going to give it away either...its not as fancy as some of pauls later bows but still very nice!!

Here's my other tip. She looks a little "old school" to me with the flat black limbs. Love the red stripe and antler accents and tips

From: medic77

Not sure exactly what the stripe is. Looks a little too yellow for Osage but I could be WAY wrong.

From: David McLendon
