Or maybe I was dreaming about it and it turns out it was a fly with a flyswatter. Lol

I'm dreaming all right. :-) Let's see,,,,who does this Bow belong too :-) I'm trying to cook up some summer time good stuff. Peach and rubarb pie in the Dutch oven and deer brats and finally local sweeeet corn

Barber still has that bow?? I know it's a real looker. Grilled Corn and Brats. That's a deer camp specialty. :D

I went looking for mushrooms at a new spot this morning, only found a couple chanterelles, but got into a great patch of red and black raspberries and spent a couple hours there picking. Just had some venison chili with paleo berry cobbler for desert.

Unless you named the bow “Buck” I don’t see one. Another gem created by a talented man. Lance

I took the boys to the range yesterday and saw three fawns. Two were not much bigger than Harley Boy. I'm digging into some Good Stuff. The pie is coming, it needs to cool down some.

After some peach rubarb pie, I would like to to get back to my dream of a perfect shot on nice deer, right through the heart. Quick and lethal.

Smoker runs pretty steady year around...brisket 'n ribs are my fav, but turkey, burnt ends, and prime rib are pretty good as well.

What can I say? Archery & BBQ are two of my favorite activities! Along with playin' the pipes!

Rallison, Are those rare ribs in the picture from an elk? Man do they look inviting! Thanks for sharing.

Man it all looks fantastic. Anybody here just like big slabs of grilled vadalia onions on the grill? About half an inch thick, 3 or 4 of them right next to some tenderloin or chops. Nybubba

Yes sir I still have that bow ! I shoot it almost everyday. I hope to kill a buck with it this year but I hope I don’t have to shoot at him 3 times before I hit him . LOL love this bow !

From: Dry Bones
Date: 12-Jul-18

Craig, at least your story ended with you getting him. I should not tell this BUT, my first season to have Jeff's bow (second year with traditional gear) I had a really nice buck stop and rub the tree right in front of me I shot over him twice before he walked away only to come back and let me shoot under him the third. I should never had let the third arrow go. I was way to jumpy. That was the first deer I had the chance to shoot at with a longbow and by far the biggest. Barber, I suppose we will have a Freeman bow success list come fall?

Dry Bones, I hope we have a list come fall . LOL. The other Freeman bow I had that Jeff has back I killed a buck, doe, Fox, coyote, and several squirrels and rabbits. That bow had some good mojo . My freeman I have now had killed a crow. LOL

Got to get a new cooker next year, suppose. This old cast iron wash pot I've used for grilling and smoking everything the last 45 years from cabrito to brisket has rusted out beyond fixing up anymore. Just grilled some hamburgers with pecan wood chips this week for its final use.

This is the old cast iron pot I was referring to above. Left it out of the reply above. Think it needs some help - and I need another cup of coffee.
