I was shooting today in my basement with my GameMaster II and was thinking about making it a 64" bow using ILF limbs. My draw lengfh is 30" and it stacks (does make it as quick as all get out though). Question is: Other than changing the mounting bushing for the limb, is there any other modifications that is needed to get them to fit? I was thinking about the Black Max Wood/Glass limbs. DANNY

With any luck, Jim Casto (not Castro) will be chiming in here soon. He is the resident master on GameMaster to ILF conversions. You could probably locate a thread or two covering the conversion.

Don't know why that link didn't work. Oh well...

All you need to do is go to your local hardware store and get some 3/8" copper tubing. Heck you can even use the plastic stuff. Then, get some black plastic hole plugs. Cut the tubing with a tubing cutter, or cut the plastic tubing with a sharp razor knife about 1/4" long. They'll cost you all of about $2.00 a pair.

Press out the ILF bushing and press in your homemade ones. On some occasions, you may have to grind some stock off the limbs butts to get the lip of the bezel to fit over the end of the limb. Or... you can buy round bezels at the hardware an not worry about it.

I have also used ilf limbs on the black hunter riser this way. Adjustable weight and tiller is wonderful.

There you go. Jim got me started doing that on ILF limbs years ago and I've never looked back.

I can use any limb on any riser I want to.

Did that with a friends Hoyt Dorado. I used W&W limbs. Made a decent 3D bow.

I did the conversion on some TradTech carbon/wood recurve limbs. It was easy and works perfectly. I really enjoy those limbs on the Gamemaster II riser.

Yes, they work fine but I would go with longs with your DL. A thin pad of mole hair or thin leather in the pockets.

I put a set of W&W Black Max limbs on my GM I to rehab my shoulder. Just pressed out the Hoyt bushings and put them in the new limbs. Twisted up a BCY-X string and all I can say is wow. Think you will be pleased. Oh, and I did have to switch to round bezels.
