Hello All,

I have a really good buddy here in Michigan who finally drew his Zone 6 Iowa archery tag. He went out this spring and scouted a bit and found some ok spots, but nothing really to get you pumped up. Just wondering if there's anyone in our trad family that could help out a bit and make this a memorable hunt for him. He's a trad guy as well. I've done lots of trading with alot of folks here, many from Iowa so just looking for a little guidance. You can pm me or even text me 989 859 0333 if you have any info to give. Thank You As Always, Brandon

I guess I'm just weird, but as an Iowa resident, I have no clue where or what the zones are.

Your tag must cover the whole state I'm guessing?

I hunted around keosauqua last year. I was with an outfitter, but noticed that there seemed to be a fair share of public ground. I was out there from Nov 10-17 and didn’t notice a lot of vehicles. Was actually thinking about trying a DIY in four years when I’m able to draw again.

Correct Brandon, residents do not choose zones.

I'm in Iowa. I don't know what the zones are for non-resident. What Cities are in zone 6? JF

Unless he hunts public ground it's going to be difficult to find ground to bowhunt especially during the rut.Finding someone to host him without offering something significant to trade might be unrealistic nowadays.Guided hunts are $3500+ with outfitters.
