Looking around at my disorganized bows, arrows, quivers, strings and other stuff, I realized I need a Bow Butler. A Personal Archery Assistant (APA). Or, like the knights of old had, a squire!

There's not enough time to shoot. When I do have the time, I don't like spending it doing anything but shooting. But with a lot of bows and new bows, things get messy. So I need someone to:

Organize and put bows away, along with arrows.

String and unstring bows and adjust brace height.

Put quivers and arrows back where they should go.

Unpack new bows, pack bows I'm shipping out.

Organize and put away points, nocks, rests, plates, silencers, etc.

Put silencers on strings.

Tie nock threads on strings.

Repair arrows with broken nocks or loose/torn feathers.

Clean and wax, polish or buff bows.

Refinish bows.

Update records of bought, sold, and traded bows.

Track bow shipping and pick up bows at the post office when needed.

Other stuf!

Ever feel this way? How do you minimize non-shooting archery tasks? Other than having only one or two bows.

I'm thinking of that Neil Young song-- "A Man Needs a Maid."

Robin Hood, of course, had the lovely Maid Marian. I'm thinking along these lines...in fact, I can picture just what my ideal POA (personal overseer of archery) would look like.

How many times have I told you, pick up your toys! When you're done with something put it awaaaay.

Now you get this done and we'll take you to Chuck E Cheese.

Place for everything ,and everything in its place.Try taking 15 minutes a day to straighten out your stuff .You will be surprised how quickly that works.

One bow will do it alright, but I have some stuff misplaced, like my favorite cordovan tab, an old fletcher, etc, I saw and stored in a safe place several years ago (among two houses), which I've been looking for and can't find.

Lost track of a bow once too ('62 K Mag), but my best friend said his little brother was using it for hunting long ago. Just nice to know where it went. Thought I lost it when I totaled out my '57 Ford which could have had the bow in it. Good it wound up with someone who could use it.

I am married. That's why I thought a butler would work better. Not a maid. Those pretty bow maidens can get a married guy into trouble!

I will help you. Get rid of all your junk and get one bow and half dozen arrows and just shoot. Makes it easier
