Had some of my students from winter class out last night for a tune up and some Flu-Flus. Both the young girls and Mom were in the class. Mom is a compound shooter but learned recurve with me. None had ever shot Fluflu until last night. Man did they have fun!! Whoops and hollers! A feather brush or a hit caused about the same amount of squealing! The older girl caught on the fastest and started hitting quite a few , then mom joined in and once they both hit the same disc! Thanks to everybody on the wall for their generosity with equipment for kids, I give away so many bows and arrows to kids your help....Helps! All of the bows I’ve been given have been given back out making kids smile. Thanks again Arrowchucker out

Good for you. Nothing better then kids and bows or adults to bring out the smiles and laughter.

Nice job. It is good to hear that you are passing the torch. Maybe I can set up a youth class and get some people started one day. You are an inspiration.

Arrowchucker, you "done good!" From very limited experience, girls, young ladies, and women seem to take to bow shooting more so than males. Hunting? No so much, but the gals love flinging the arrows. Hitting a tree branch or a 3D mountain goat's ear will be more laughing and giggles than a 10x in the heart. If you get three generations of ladies shooting at the outdoor range on a summer day, just keep out of their way, take lots of arrows, and stay at the fire pit making burgers and beans and cobbler. And did you ever notice how all the politics and division just disappears for those few hours when everyone has a bow n their hand? Thanks again, for make a few lives a little better.

Looks like a great time for the kids. Nice work! Curious what you use to launch the aerial disks? Tried shooting aerials last week for the first time and it was a blast.

Outstanding deal! Wish that more people could do this. Seems that time and other obligations get in the way. BLESSED BE!

Thanks a million riverwolf! Any idea why they went sideways? I always take my phone vertical and have posted tons of pics w/o a glitch. Might as well try another

I hand throw the targets. Snap of the wrist and they zip right up. I have about 35- 40 disc and most are homemade. The best I found is plastics corrugated sign board. At election time ( and it seems it’s always elation time) gather as many signs for the person you didn’t want to win and I give them a quick scuff with a sanding block to nock off the dirt, a quick wipe then I use spray adhesive, cheaper the better. I stack five in a bunch , and as many bunch’s high as I can . Weight it down with propane tanks paint bucket, bucket of rocks what ever you got. Then I use bottom of 5 gallon bucket and a sharpie to draw a circle and cut it with a jigsaw. If after being shot a bunch some of the edges will start coming loose a squirt of glue, weight overnight then packing tape or duct tape around every thing and they are bomb proof. They are heavier than the commercial ones( not to mention about $14 cheaper) so the wind doesn’t shove them around so much.
