Hello, all. I'm new to this site. My wife found these two bows at a yardsale recently and since she knows I like recurves, she got both for $50.00 each. One is a Ben Pearson Equalizer 7148 and the other a Feline Panther Hunter. Both RH with 45lb draw. I read some posts on this site from 4 yrs ago that Feline bows were probably made by a different company such as Wing archery. Feline was located in Greensburg PA and supposedly went out of business back in the '80s. Any info about this Feline bow would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jack

Yes, Feline Archery did exist back in that time. They sold compounds and traditional gear... more compounds. You may try looking up Nelson's Arrows in Greensburg, PA. They're about a quarter mile away from the Feline location. Ask for Dottie Nelson. She was working at Feline for some time. She may shed some light on your information that you're seeking. Good luck! Feline Archery did not make any bows, but did have their name put on bows made by Cravotta Brothers, or even Darton Archery...maybe even Pearson. A photo would go a long way to clean up who made the bow. I bought from Feline for many years for our archery shop and visited the shop many times.

I believe Feline Archery closed in the late 1980s. I use to go there a lot since I lived six miles from there. I liked looking at the taxidermy mounts and specially the full polar bear mount behind glass in a display window. The building became an art gallery through the 1990s. Dottie Nelson was one of the employees of Feline Archery. She opened her own archery shop ( Nelson's Arrows ) not long after Feline closed. Her shop is still in business and located approx 150 yards down the road from where Feline Archery was on Swede Hill Road.
