Any ideas on what this bow might be? Cool little swap meet find. It likes a 64" actual length string with 7 3/4 brace height (so 68" bow?). Wrapped leather grip, green woven glass. No decals or markings except stamping of 39@28 and G7142 which I'm guessing is a serial or model number. I'll post a few different views of it

It looks like and E Bud Pierson “Turk” model target bow to me. I have a shorter hunting model that’s a smaller version of yours. Lance

No idea but I like the design and the poundage is right if you decide to part with it. >>>-----> Ken

Don’t know, but I do know you got one nice bow there. Almost like it came off the showroom floor. Good find

I have the identical bow and have been trying to figure out who made it for several years.

There is no sign on my bow of any kind of decal having been present.

Does yours also have really long tip wedges?

These bows also has very fine woven glass that looks like Owen's Permaglass that was used in Tri-State and American Archery bows.

However, the presence of the tip wedges sets it apart from the bows made by Tri-State, as well as the general design...the Turk by Tri-State is different.

I find knifeguy's comment on it being a Bud Pierson interesting...can you please post a pic of your bow Lance?

Pdiddly that's a sweet looking one you have too. I'll have to check on the tip wedges when I get home. It's a sweet looker and shooter, a bowyer friend will hopefully eventually copy it for limb forms. And x2 let's see a pic of Lance's!

Mine is a very stable and smooth bow to shoot. It is 46# and 66".

I have a bow (broken) up in the rafters like that one...no help really but it is stickered "Merrywood" in a diamond design label. The glass, grip wrap, and stamped riser shout early-mid 1950's vintage.

The Merrywood's look a bit like this one...but not a Merrywood.

That's about the 20th Merrywood I have encountered that ended up snapped in half...the riser broke in the middle?

Tip overlays and shaping...nicely done.

It could be a Eddings

From: yorktown5

Yup, Pdiddly. Merrywood riser snapped in the middle while I had her at full draw testing a tip overlay fix. Usually "explosion" is exaggerated. Not this time. Pretty dramatic. I have a small shop, but never did find all the pieces.

From: Pdiddly

That's endemic in those Merrywood's...not enough meat in the riser where it matters.

Look great but they're not safe or sound.
