Stupid me.Must have missed it.What happened to Samick? Are they out of the traditional market. Is Galaxy now Samick? Can't find much Samick in the new Lancaster Archery catalog .Guess i don't like change. Some other sporting goods lines are like this- Names, ownership, models, quality constantly in flux.Does it indicate-weakness in demand or firece competition or something else. Now that i start to think about it -Ford cars are going the way of Pontiacs and Stingrays and Quinns.....

There were some problems involving Samick--ownership problems from what I heard and Lancaster Archery won't get into the mess. Galaxy and Samick are not the same.

Got a galaxy from a fellow on another site for$110. It shoots as well as my custom bows.

Thankyou.Galaxy products appear to be of decent quality. So they may be a good substitute for Samick.I'd be a hypocrite if i brought up the Chinese connection.

sake -

Last I heard is that Galaxy is the new SF/Win&Win. Haven't confirmed it yet. The few Galaxy rigs I've seen look and shoot quite well.

Viper out.

Just got a new Galaxy one piece recurve yesterday and a very nice bow for the money.I heard the same as Viper from one of the reps at Baltimore Traditional Classic last month. Their new Galaxy bows were handled by many that weekend and tested out on the range by quite a few folks. Everyone I talked to had the same comment pretty much and that was Made pretty nice and price is unbelievable . Now mine has a few tooling marks in the riser where they shaped the area where the strike plate would be but all in all still a decent finish. Glue lines look great. I can say for a beginner or someone wanting a low cost bow that looks as good as a custom I would recommend these Galaxy highly.
