Arvin Weaver is once again sponsoring the Self-Bow Shootdown this year at the 2018 Trad Worlds in Pipestem, West Virginia. It will be comprised of the top 10 Self-Bow scores in their first round on the Bowhunter Challenge course. Your scorecard must be turned in by 4:00 Saturday, and the shootdown will start Saturday at 4:30pm. Always a fun event to watch this brotherhood of self-bow shooters compete for the $500 cash prize. Nobody bothers calling us to ask for support. I guess the IBO don't want us supporting anything even though we are the ones that got this started.
But that's ok we are bigger than that...we will gladly support the Selfbow Challenge to show support to the selfbow crowd.

Yeah Dewayne. The more sponsors the merrier for all involved. Thanks for "CD Archery" support. IBO called no one to ask for sponsors. Arvin came to me at a Texas shoot saying he wanted to sponsor this shootdown if the IBO had it again. Archery and the history of the sport is bigger than all of us as individuals, and we are all here to support it and each other. There are many ways and other events to support if anyone wants to offer. The IBO will gladly accept I am sure. Thanks again.

I didnt mean to be so negative. I just wish we as a whole would be more organized to promote and to offer things like the selfbow challenge and dot shoot and other side shoots to help attract more shooters.
The Traditional World needs a committee to help share the load.
