I have used D-97 on my Super Kodiak, and Bear Mag td with no problems and much improvement.

I finally did it.....I removed the 12 strand B-50 from my 45# 1954 Kodiak II and strung up with D-97 with 8 strands, padded to 16. Quiet, and shoots fine. The B-50 had a little bit of a rubber band sound on release, plus there was slight bit of bow arm contact from string. Both of those are now gone.

Kodiak IIs are a big bang waiting to happen even with B-50!

The walnut risers are the only one I know of with a breakage problem. Mine is maple.

Cool. I just started using FF on a 1964 Kodiak. Wow, what a difference.

Turned a good bow into a great bow. So quick and almost silent.

I've used it now for almost a decade, and even on old bows with no overlays....like my 1966 Black Hawk Scorpion. It will enhance performance and abate a lot of vibration that is inherent in Dacron strings. Bows can break when using any material, but when it's low stretch, it's the first thing that is blamed. I go by my own experience, and that experience has only been positive for just about ten years now.

I agree with you George, in fact it was talking with you and Rick that convinced me to try low stretch string several years ago. I just had not got around to trying on this Kodiak II.
