The tree trimmers for the electric utility were through today and I grabbed a few chunks of mulberry. The straight(est) parts are only 2-3' long. Would it be reasonable to think I could try and make a billet bow from this stuff? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Sure you can if you have 2 pieces long enough to splice, and get the length you want.

Make your splice between 3" and 4" long, and glue it with a good glue and proceed.

I did a billet mulberry for a friend. He had a couple of good clear pieces. His turned out great and mine cracked, go figure.
