Thanks Kwikdraw.. I thought it was self explanatory.. Some folks take a Hour-N-Half to watch 60 minutes..

I've handled one Fisk maybe 12 years ago. It fell far short of a Harrison HHC by a long shot. Just wasn't the same bow. The finish on a Harrison is like no other. Jack didn't let a half ass bow leave his shop so kinda wondering what was it about yours you didn't like? I have 3 HHC's, a Siberian Wolf, 2 Black Wolves and a HSS. Love them all.

Well.....it really ISN"T self explanatory because in the opening sentence the OP indicates that he owns a Harrison longbow, but never shot it. S And doesn't give any indication that he has EVER shot one. So, at that point, how could it be a discussion of the shooting qualities and or nuances of the 2 bows? It would seem that MAYBE the only things to shed light on would be the appearance, the physical weight, the cost, and what it looks like after hanging on a rack for ever how long it;s been hanging there.

I've shot them both. I'd never buy a new one because they are in my opinion over priced.

That being said, they aren't bad shootng bows. Neither is in the same class as for instance an Abe Penner bow when it comes to workmanship. And neither is in the same league as a Fox Triple Crown when it comes to performance. And actually, I don't think there is that much performace difference between the Fisk and the Harrison myself.

The FISK ISN'T a Harrison, and Jim Fisk plainly tells you that on the websight. he reveals at least some of the cahges that he made to the designs. So there's that. The Fisk may not be finished as well, I never paid any attention to be honest. But some bowyers build furniture and some don't. Just they way it is.

I don't take an hour and ahalf to watch 60 Minutes. In fact I don't watch it all.

Owned not Owns.. Reading is a amazing thing.. Short story..Jack built me a bow after he said he never would..I said ok and we started talking, hunting, the archery industry, and followed up with politics..his favorite topic. After I said I must go,,, a hour later, he said, what bow you want me to build you..Told him and sent him the specifics, and 8 month later it showed up..I wanted Dull matte finish, it was High Gloss,..We talked about the grip, wrong grip..We talked no skins, showed with skins, on and on I could go. I liked Jack so much I didn't call and complain or nothing, I just put it up for sale and in 5 minutes, got my $1200 back..All that to say I never shot one, and Jack does not build bows any more,so therefore the Jim Fisk question I asked.. Longest thing I ever typed in my life..

Well some guys just need it in writing and as you can see, even that doesn't always help lol. Yeah Jack was a talker.

I have a bunch 58# to 60# @28"pull and one 70# 66" Black wolf. The HSS has Dall the others Buffalo. Most are TD too. No skins and gloss turns to matte with 000 steel wool. The Siberian someone refinished it to matte. Cool little 60" bow. I can't keep them all sooooooo.
