Does anyone remember when Easton made an aluminum arrow with a birch bark pattern printed on it? Back when aluminum was king they would come out with some pretty cool looking arrows. I was looking through my old arrow bin and found a couple tre-bark ones, orange ones, green game getters, one with a snake skin pattern, a ted nugent zebra stripe, various real tree and mossy oak patterns. Does anyone out there also have any of these different pattern old arrows? I have just been cutting them up for footing carbon arrows. Any suggestions for a better use? I would love to get my hands on a dozen uncut orange xx75 or the birch bark ones to hunt with.

Maybe shoot them instead of cutting them up for footings? Just thinking what I would do.
Easton made different designs for folks to use as their own line. Jim Dougherty had gray colored ones. I remember some black as well but can't think of the name. I use aluminum, and so do a lot of other folks, so I look at them as more than just footing material.

The problem I have is a lot of these were cut really short for use with a compound with an overdraw and I have all sorts of different spines just a few of all different spines.

I have some of the Birch Bark, (23xx or 24xx short 22/25") Trebark and most of the normal camo patterns. I also have a Big Game that is something like 2540.

Jimbob, you see that a lot on Ebay as well. Guys selling 2314 at 26" long and describing them as 'youth arrows'. Ahhhh, yeah.

I really like the old aluminum camo patterns but man they are hard to find, and as was said- they are too short when I do find some. I have a lot of old uncut autumn oranges. I just saved them over the years. I just don’t shoot them. I just like to have them.

Wasn't the Birch Bark pattern a special run for Pape's Archery?

I think your right Hermon. Wasn’t Pape’s wholesale only? I used to like when Easton changed patterns almost every year there for awhile. I would wait and usually F&S Archery out of So. Ca would have a close out sale. I bought a bunch of AO that way.

I went all out with the Camo arrows when they started selling them, and have several dozen in different patterns. Right now I’d rather shoot a solid color or wood grain. Sure would like to see AO XX75 made again, they’re my favorite.

These were not a camo pattern but pape's had a bark brown arrow shaft. Early 1980's Ben Pearson offered the tracer aluminum arrow.

My son liked the Browning brown. Still have some of his 2315’s. That and AO I would like to see come back.
