A shoot WELL worth attending! I'm surprised it's not bigger than it is. Then again, it might be just the right size for the staff the club has available.

A truckload of targets for a great price, big clubhouse and good eats...all that and free camping? Can't beat it!

I think there are something like 75 targets. Last year they did a grocery shoot on Saturday evening.

There will be around 15 of us coming out from Westmoreland county.

Great shoot!

I think it is a better shoot than Baltimore.

I went last year and had a great time despite the rain. Wish I could go this year but it's just not gonna happen. Anyone near that area should go. On of the nicest clubs I've shot.

We used to shoot at Conocogheague Archers a couple times a year. They had a memorial shoot for a young man who died of cancer, it was called the Mark Misdom Memorial and raised a bunch of money for cancer research. Mark's parents ran North American Archery Distributors back then, it was located in Rouzerville, Pa....just east on Rt. 16.

That sure would be nice,I enjoy the swap part of any shoot. From what you described monkeyball that would make it better.

It's been my observation over the years that when people start 'bragging up' a shoot as being a 'shooter's shoot' and not a 'buying shoot', vendors tend to shy away. Ski Sawmill is a prime example, it was always touted as being a 'shooters shoot. In the beginning they had vendors, now they are almost non extistant. Vendors and blanket swap meets are a big plus for a shoot in the long run. Of course, that's just my opinion and observation. Shick

Will do Craig. Don't know what vehicles we're bringing or when we'll be there.

Well the problem is cost for the vendors. They will go where the most buyers are and that is Denton Hill.

It always is a great shoot. Today near 90 degrees so a little steamy and seemed to sap our energy so we could only shoot two courses before the knees gave out and we faded.

Memorial Day weekend keeps many folks away traveling and doing family things.

BTW the targets all seem to be new or like new Rineharts, no junk.

Glad to meet up again Craig.

First time for this shoot, and man was I impressed. Rode down with Craig and Lori and shot with the group above - fantastic day!

I was there today in the afternoon. (Sunday) It was hot and humid. The breeze helped. They had a nice course set-up. Had a good time.

From: 1829

Yes...thanks G-Castle gang! I spoke to two club members on the 90 degree Saturday afternoon as they were checking the course from the comforts of their Polaris Ranger. Had a nice conversation with them and was not surprised at all to hear there is a waiting list for membership!

Already looking forward to 2019 Lord willing!!!
