Thinking about ordering one. Just wondering about the smoothness, quietness, speed etc? Are you happy with the way it shoots etc? Thinking about a 68" bow. Any other info would be helpful.

I have a Dauntless now. Nice bow for sure. Want to try a D style bow.

I owned a couple of them. I really liked the 62" bow that I had but later got a 66" model and didn't like it as well. The I preferred the shorter original to the Dauntless that I owned...just me...

Yep, I have an "Original" 66" 44 lb @ 28", I shoot mostly 2016 Easton Legacys and some tapered cedars. I've shot recurves most of my life, but I really love shooting this LB. It looks good and shoots good.

My first custom was an original Dwyer back when he only had one to offer. After talking to Dave for an hour I asked him how would he build a bow for himself. He told me then I said build one for me. Helluva bow

I cut my trad teeth on a few Dwyer Originals all 66" bows. I think a 68 would be Uber smooth. The 66" models did fine with a 30" draw. They have fantastic grips too. Real nice bows and you can't go wrong if that's the bow you are set on trying.

I don’t think you could go wrong with any Dwyer. Dave sure builds one heck of a longbow !!!

I owned 2 of them and still have one. The 66 and 68" are made off the same form and the 68" does shoot better. It will be smoother and faster. I like his original design better than the rest of his other designs for me. His bows shoot well for the design and the way he traps them. Any other questions, feel free to pm me.

It’ll be a long wait before I receive mine. Those of you with Dwyer Longbows please post some pix of them. There’s got to be a few of them floating around

Not a speed demon, but fast enough. Many people at shoots comment on how quiet it is.

Dave and Sue are super people who truly try to give you the custom bow you want. I made the mistake of selling a couple of my Dwyers over the years. I stopped making that mistake!

(I should add that it's my favorite "one piece" bow to date. Now if you're talking 3 piece... call Jim Jones) ;)

64" Original was my go to for a long time. VERY slender grip. I grew to really like it. Bill

Great looking bow NBK.

I've had two originals. 68 inch bow was perhaps the quietest bow I have ever owned. Shooting on a line inside with others they would comment on how quiet it was. 68 was too long to my liking so I sold it. The next was a 66 inch bow. Really good bow also no complaints...it was just a little too heavy so I let that go....if I ever sell my HH and don't get another HH I will get another Dwyer. Quality, aesthetics, getting to know the Dwyers all part of the picture of fine bows.

My Dwyer Original is 66" 55#. It is smooth, very quiet, a great bow. Sends arrows to target with a resounding THWACK! One of my favorites, and I own HH, Howatt Savannah..
