Hi,
I seem to have out grown my current 4 bow rack and am looking at options to expand. I need to be able to store 6 bows horizontally.
It looks like there are plenty of gun racks out there that would accommodate this, but no actual bow racks.
My only concern with a gun rack is the curved slots where the stock and forearm usually go. The bow limbs would need to rest on the corners or at an angle. Would that be an issue long term do you think?
I don't have the time to devote to making my own.
Thanks.

Get nylon strapping , tie with a couple of loops to hang off your lower peg. Put your most unused bows in those loops/. Probabably take longer tp find rope or strapping than it does to make it. Makes a nice secure place

Soft, glue-backed velcro on slots. Will never harm the bows.

Oh yes the bows have to hang perfectly horizontal or all the mojo will migrate to the low end, everyone knows that!!

I always liked a girl with a little extra mojo on the low end...

I use a four gun rack at my NY home I bought at a second hand store for $2 and it works great. It was acquired for a temporary rack until I build my own rack out some stored Oklahoma red cedar. Found I can double up on the bows by slanting them slightly. Gun racks work fine.

Thanks for the info and advice. I like the velcro tip!
Unfortunately I don't have the option to hang vertically. Putting another 4 bow rack up won't work either because I only have space for that directly to the side of my current rack.

2 slats. Broken shafts cut to desired length. Drill slats and glue in shaft pieces. Hang over or under existing rack. Make shaft pieces long enough for 2 bows and you have expansion built in.
