Has anybody spoken with or done business with this guy? He has a couple bows in classifieds but I cannot find any posts by a guy that goes by hnrta. Then on the Private reply box says Stanly Rail from Virginia and Goes by the handle "Rails".....but again the only Rails I can find is Dick Railsback from Colorado who went by that and the last post was 2010.

I am thinking scam but want to ask you guys before I tell my buddy to walk away.

I don't deal with folks who have no history on the wall. What's it take? You can at least come on and introduce yourself if you're going to use the perks that the site offers.

agree...while I hate paying for classified usage at another site...it does tend to knock down the amount of this happening.

if anybody has a nice Black Widow in the 50-55# range...let me know. I pulled 10 from the classifieds here but only a couple responded to him or myself...or they were sold and not marked.

I may recommend he wait for the right one...from verifiable member...or save a little more and buy new. :)

get a number and call him or have him call you. Paranoia is running rampant here

My buddy has been talking with him....as it will be his decision. I told him to ask the guy how long a member of stickbow or where he hangs out....and what his screen names are he uses.

Not paranoia when there is no history of the guy here and he wants $700 for a bow sight unseen other than some pictures. LOL Phone calls do little more...

Just doing due diligence in seeing if anyone has any history with him here....if not I will recommend he not buy the bow unless he can provide another forum where he is well known and involved. Too risky otherwise...

It's not paranoia to be cautious, it's smart to be cautious. Diving headlong into something you aren't sure of isn't very smart. That's why you always hear 'caveat emptor'.

I was just asked from someone if I have an add wanting to by a wood recurve bow "cheep" (yes 2 ee's) on classifieds posted by a "stickshooter - Bobby from NY". Not me and I don't.

Have him send the product or money and when you get it you send your money or product. Havnt been ripped off yet like that.

Don't "help" friends with buying decisions by doing the telephone chat for them...easy telephone and email are crucial...leave the weight on them, they need to man-up.

dont worry...purchase is on him. I was just doing research on this guy as his work laptop wont let him accept the cookie from here and kept thinking he had to re-register over and over instead of just signing in and answering questions.

yeah, guy would have to send the bow first before I would buy from someone without any history on site...and nobody I trust to vouch for them.
