Not camping this year, be there Friday, Sat morning have g sons BB game Sat afternoon.

Not going. Driving for 3 hours in the rain is not fun.

Planning on being there Friday and Saturday Lord willing! Always nice to just sit around camp and shoot the bull also. Last year was the first for me in about 15/18 years and I had such a great time that I decided to do two days this year. Driving up with a friend both days.

As usual our gang from Cumberland will be down to slay the targets rain or shine makes no difference. Hope to see you all there.

Yep, Baltimore is a blast of a time for sure even with some rain/storms!

Won’t make it this year, kinda bummed but i got another Traditional event this weekend im going to.

the shoot has never been called due to rain..it rains every year this time of year here.. usually more in the evenings..so get in early, get shooting in before dinner and under canopy by then with a cold one... :)

Soggy buns can be a problem.

Warning to wear good boots with aggressing tread in wet muddy weather. The trails can be slick.

Not good for LL Bean boots or silent stalker mocassins either. Those trails are slicker than owl doo doo.

Be careful climbing Heart Attack Hill. That gets slicker than sh** when it rains!

It usually rains at the Baltimore shoot,but it's always a good time.

Leaving DC shortly to go there. Wish I brought a bow set up for vanes. And a kayak...

Rain, rain, and more rain. Mud city, but there were a lot of hardcore archers there.

It was sloppy but still a lot of fun.

I arrived Thursday morning and camped through Saturday afternoon

got in some good shooting (courses were kinda slippery, but was better than staying home)

got some great camping naps during the heavier rain

Glad I went, picked up my new bow from Northern Mist

"kinda slippery"? That is the understatement of the year.

Wasn't going to go but said what the heck, had nothing better to do for the weekend.

Other than the really heavy rain Saturday morning, the rest of the time wasn't that bad. Didn't get really wet and managed to get in seven courses over the three days.

Attendance was definitely down and the blanket sales suffered mightily. All and all, a good time was had.

One of the sponsoring club officers told me that attendance was down by two-thirds.

What a great time!

Weather sucked but for those with the gumption to tough it out... the shoot was a blast. Great people, great targets, cooking on cast iron, shootin' the bull about longbows, a few brews and snorts of buffalo trace.

Thanks a bunch to Yewah and Jackdaw and Tim for sharing their awning, conversation, and food with me. Good to talk and shoot with Stan also. I didn't have the time this year to set up the wall tent and woodstove, but we sure missed it LOL! Friday night was chilly enough to see your breath! I was ok with my elk bivy set up though. What we lacked in comfort we made up for in laughs. That is what it is all about folks!

And that was the GOOD section. Muck boots were the order of the days. I lived in mine Fri and Sat.

Walked around that slop several times Friday and Saturday But still had a great time with friends.One of the highlights was something Bill Nash said to me at the TBM tent Saturday during the fish fry that I thought was the the true meaning of these gatherings and this is what I asked and he said.. I asked Bill "Are you up here with your family" and his reply was "No" with a brief hesitation and then he quickly said as he looked at all the folks under the TBM tent I am with family! That really stuck in my mind and he said it from the heart.. I rejoined TBM again that day and if I didn't I would of had a hard time trying to keep Stan out my face lol...He was going to use his own money to sign me back in but I couldn't let him do that but thanked him for his offer. Memory's were made with like minded Men,Women and children that two days I was there. The fish fry was a big hit and thanks to all who helped and put that on. Bought quite a bit of goodies from Jds booth and some other vendors as well. Slippery,slimy,sloppy,slopes but one you could talk about for years lol.

Heck with that. I'm not shooting in that.

A huge thanks to Jeff and all of the crew that ran the shoot. Terrible conditions but they still had targets out and put on a good time. I hate that so many stayed home. I know they spent a fortune on new targets and stuff to stock the kitchen. I doubt they even broke even.

As always.... I had a blast with the folks up there.

It was another great event put on by TBM and worth every penny I spent to get there. The weather wasn't good but we had a great time anyhow.

I want to Thank the guys from Lancaster Archery for their generosity donating the bow for the kids raffle. Our son who is 13 and 6'4" tall won the bow on Saturday evening. He was originally given a 54" 30# Samick Sage which we were excited about. When the guys realized the bow really wasn't a good fit for Connor they took him back to their booth and exchanged the 54" bow for a 62" bow. What a classy thing to do!!! Now he has a bow that really "fits" him and his shooting is surely going to improve. Those are great guys and I want to let them know how much we appreciate what they did.

Lancaster archerty is top notch all the way they make it right the first time

Andyman I was in the booth when he was tying on a nock for someone and I was showing him the way I learned it from Rick Barbee's video here and how simple it was. I asked him if I could get a small scrap piece of his number 4 red BCY String he was using maybe just 6" long to put on a buddy's bowstring there.My buddy's string serving was just to small for his nocks so I'm taking it that John was the guy who gave me the string.He didn't just give me a 6" piece but about 25' of that from his spool.I thought that was very kind of him to do so and no charge.Really shows how kind folks are to not just share their knowledge but sometimes their goods. Little things like that will make me buy more from them when kindness is shown.

The event was put on by BALTIMORE BOWMAN not TBM Sorry for not giving proper credit where due.

Keefers, I was the one he was tying the nock on for and it was indeed John who gave you that serving strand.

Thanks David and John was polite and very generous with that scrap piece of # 4 BCY...It not only touched me and my buddy who I was helping but even Otis the Pastor on Sunday saw how much thread John gave me and we both thought he gave us the whole roll. I will always remember his face so when I'm up PA. and see him behind the counter at Lancaster I'll surely let him know how grateful I and my friends were. Those are some of the finest memories I will cherish from BBTC. JD even deserves a pat on the back for something he did for a young man in our group. The young man had gotten some arrows last year from JD'S booth and a few feathers came unglued. So the young man went to buy some feathers and JD "Gave" him a 1/2 dozen if I heard correctly. Another friend in our group saw Bob the guy with all the old bows get stuck in his mini van and we all jumped in and pushed him out the grass and some of us got a little muddy doing so. Later I think it was Sunday one of our guys in our group went to buy a used bow and Bob said "Were you the group of guys" who helped push us out the mud and they said yes so Bob even dropped the price more then what he was asking for that bow. Yes it rained and rained hard but God had surely shined through in those three examples of generosity and I was touched by witnessing it with friends .<')))><

Looks like I missed another good shoot.
