Dan i believe ceadars are usually around 33 in long but i could be wrong. Tapering the point and nock end will remove about 1.5 in of material and you would probably need around 65 or 70 lb spine at that draw length with a low stretch string and cut past center riser.

Dan if you can't get your 31" BOP you might want to think about adding a glue on adapter. Adds I believe 1.5". I use them when I break a cedar behind the point. 2 different models allows the use of glue on or screw in heads.

Dan i think wapiti shafts are 33 in long. I did take a 32 in shaft and taper both ends and while it is still 32 inches long the glue on point has to fit over the tapered end so it ends up as 31 in to the BOP. I should have been more clwar on that. Also look up reparrow. Jim davis sells footinga that glue to the end of a standerd point taper to increase length or fix a broken arrow.

Dan.....get hold of Bob Burton and tell him what you want. Send him a PM.
He has forgotten more about wood arrows, and probably arrows in general. then most of us will ever learn. He will help you decide exactly what shafts to get, and they will be right the first time with no dinkin' around.
