Picked this one up at the flea market for 40 bucks. Looks like solid phenolic and it’s built like a tank. Any information on them?

The Wing Thunderbird has been discussed here many time, and it was Bob Lee's upper line one piece hunting recurve back in the day. You can do an archive search here. It's the bow I took my first whitetail buck with in 1972, and as good a bow as you will buy.

Thanks George I’ll do a search still getting the hang of the site

It is a 1967. First year they built it.

The serial number is a T7 with numbers after it.

I picked it up and really liked the grip. It unfortunately doesn’t have a string.. I’m guessing a 58” string would work? Also any tips on starting brace height? Much appreciated fellas.

Very nice...nice weight too. The 1967 is the only T-Bird w/o a Head Ski decal.

Yes...a 58" string if B-50. 59" with a low stretch like Fury.

They like a high brace...8" and up.

I think that's about the same price I paid for mine, a long time ago! You're gonna love it. Lance

I saw that one if it was in KC, they had it listed as 60# and I asked about it and they never got back to me. You must have bought it so they didn't answer. Be careful when you string it the first time. I only had trouble with one and when I strung it, it blew up after about 15 seconds. I've only had that happen on one and I have had 4, I'm sure it was how and where it was stored by the previous owner. Mine like 8 1/4- 8 1/2" brace height. Super bows enjoy it.
