How many of you have a Tice & Watts bow? Never see them for sale. What is there history? Post pics please. I would love to find a left-handed one.

Good luck,on finding a Lefty. Occasionally they show up for sale on EBay, but usually not cheap. Good news s Lefties are cheaper than righties. Bad news is they are way more rare. If you search here and Google, I think you can learn the history.

I've owned a couple, and I think their limb design is everything it's cracked up to be. However, you can almost tell that they were built by engineers rather than artisans--the wood is sometimes pretty bland (or painted flat blac), and the tips are sometimes left looking unfinished--at least compared to the premium bows of the 60's and early 70's.
The one I currently own has a 51# draw, and will out-cast most bows of the same weight. I worked the tips down on it and re-shaped the grip, and it's one of my favorite bows. As you can see in this "before" shot, it's a bit thick through the grip--easily changed!

I have one also and it shoots very good. Mine however is really rough and needs a complete refinish. Holes (one really big one) with a flunky camo paint job on the limbs. But, in my case, ugly shoots pretty dang good! Pictures of mine are posted on the "ugly Bow" thread from a month or so ago. Lance

Here's one of the nicest Tice and Watts I have seen.
That beautiful refinish job was done by Phil Magistro.
It is a Spartan Hunter, 58" and 44# , quiet, fast and very steady. One of my favourite bows to shoot.

Last one of the tips...they looked good to me but may have been reworked.
Thanks for the thread...
