This older Pearson gave yeoman service today on my backyard range. Bow specs are 35lbs.@28 and 66" shooting 1816's at my 26.5 draw. Once i get a better string I expect even shooting qualities. This is a Palamino model.

IMO, one of the most attractive bows BP made. Never shot one but I'm certain it's a shooter based on what I've read.

I had one of those, 68", white glass and rosewood, 28#, near mint, that I stupidly sold a few years ago.

Here is my 1956 I got off ebay. Looked pretty nasty. So I resotred it.

Here it is restored, no resotred :)

3D, that is likely a 66 rather than a 56. Pearson didn't even name their bows until 1958. The big risers started early 60's for the most part. The early/mid 60's to mid 70's was the era of the big riser bows.

When I entered Trad archery 2-3 years ago, I entered without instruction, mentor, advice. I had one friend 225 miles away, who sold me some recurves. I remember him saying, and reading on the web as well, that Pearson bows were entry level gear. I don't know. Not in this case. I love this Palomino. Nice looking, great shooter. Pleasant lines and use of laminations in my opinion.

Here is a'59 Palomino 66" and 48lb@28. Olive green glass on belly and a cinnamon glass on back with tip wedges. Very quiet shooter.

I've shot that 59, and it's a keeper.
