Looking for suggestions for a good fast drying fletch glue. I have been using Duco for some time now. I am doing up about 150 loaner arrows for an event so will likely just be using a poly wipe on finish of some kind.

Yep...I switched to Saunders this year. Works great on everything. Duco never worked well for me over oil finishes...and I was down to using fletchtite only on carbons. The NPV DOES IT ALL.

"a poly wipe on finish"
Never heard of that before, what are you talking about? I've only used Fletchtite on the individual base of each fletch.

He's talking about a product similar to, or the same as the Min-Wax Wipe-On-Poly. Pretty good stuff, I've used it a lot.
Badger, for fast drying try some super glue. Medium viscosity, and it doesn't take very mch per feather.

Thanks Frank, I don't need real fast but something I can rotate in about 3 min or so. I usually do about 4 arrows at a time and its nice when I don't have to wait. If the Saunders is too slow I will switch to the super glue.
The fletchtite I believe will not work on poly finishes.

What's the rush? I wait 10-15 min. per fletching.

I would want to save a little time if I was needing to fletch 150 arrows, or looking for some help from a friend or two. Super glue would get my vote to.

What is the rush? Well I am really not in a hurry but I just don't like to sit there 15 minutes watching glue dry on each arrow. I much rather get done and be shooting. Did I mention neater? I no longer get glue squeeze out. Never have to consider which glue for which shaft. Carbon, aluminum, wood, bamboo, all get the same thing. It just really simplified things for me. What ever bends your bow.It is all good. >>>----> Ken

fdp, or anyone.
Help me out here again please. Are you saying he is attaching all three feathers at the same time, with a finish coat on the shaft that dries quickly? If so, which jig would do this? How thick is the coating/finish/adhesive? Would this be usable for a single fletch also? Are damaged fletchings easily removable/ to replace?
Anyone have a picture of this operation?
Thank you.

After years of using either Fletchtite or Duco, I recently have done some arrows with CA jel. I put a very thin film on the quill with a brush applicator, and it seems to be working very well. Way faster than regular fletch glue and holds just fine.

WB, he is using wipe on poly for the finish on the shaft, and looking for a fast drying compatible glue for the feathers.

WB, I use a wipe on poly finish some days before the fletch goes on, why are you acting like you don't understand that? I am looking for a compatible glue? Is that also hard to understand? I am also looking for a glue that has a relatively fast setting time as I am doing about 150 arrows and only have 3 fletching jigs.
