Every year my allergies tell me when Spring has arrived. We have a lot of fruit trees in the Central valley that bloom one after the other. That death cloud of pollen hovers in our valley and tries to do me in every year. A daily purge with salt water in a nasal spray bottle keeps me out of the doctors office. My buddy is catching bee swarms and building hives as fast as he locates them. Enjoy the Spring.

Dogwoods are blooming here. Usually means spring is here.

snow and 30's here in iowa this weekend! wife and i tryed fishing yesterday...not a thing...on a better note; my bro in law found some morels in oklahoma yesterday! :)

The honey bees were working our bird feeders (cracked corn) on warm days even in February. There are some hives about half a mile down the road. Some kind of virus has hit the honey bees across the country. I'm happy to see any bees in the spring...last year there were very few honey bees, this year so far looks better.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas. 10" of the fun stuff predicted with 50 mph gusts with blinking lights. I hope that NE wind doesn't ripoff any branches that will bomb my neighbors garage.

I'm on the north side of this system. Barely a snowflake, but 26 and wind gusts well over 30 mph. It is a fine example of spring! Saw a group of guys ice fishing in the middle of Lake Osakis last night. They had driven out. Couldn't tell if it was a small truck or a UTV. Either way, in a normal year that lake should be almost ice free by now! I did hear a couple turkeys ahead of the storm on Thursday evening, so I'll take that as a hopefull sign. I think today will be a good day to stay inside and tie flies or go to school and work on a project in the wood shop and dream of spring. Stay warm eveyone!

I’m really tired of our Minnesota weather...a few spring like days in March and back to nasty winter...another snow dump this weekend

From: stikbow208
Date: 14-Apr-18

The prediction is close to 1/2" of ice tonight and tomorrow with 40-50mph winds...gotta dig out the generator today. I've seen quite a few turkeys close to home this year and hope this ice storm doesn't do them in. Turkeys are tuff but this could be nasty.

The only good thing about this blizzard were in is its headed for dear old frisky. Enjoy!

Spring has sprung here too! A couple of days ago, we broke 50 degrees for the 1st time. We hit 51, and I was out working in my t-shirt! The storm hit, with 50mph gusts and 5" of snow over 1/2" of ice. Not bad at all. I got most of it cleared out and plan to get outside and sun myself if we ever see the sun again. No complaints here.

getting serious on the deer now, in parts of northern Wis and the western UP,,,,, also another week of it,,,,,, brutal today,,,,,,,

I have no idea, how the woodcock that came in a few weeks ago, even can survive, maybe they went back south,,,,, I am going to Florida on the 28th to tarpon fish.....

I believe it will still be snowing and lakes iced in till well into May

From: grizzly

We got a foot or better. Wondered how the robbins were surviving this. Saw one about every five foot on the shoulder of the road where the ground had been exposed by the plows. Bet they have a tough go. Thursday I heard geese headed back south.

Just one of those winters. Old Man Winter just wants to hang around a little longer he likes it here.

From: Silverstreak Archer
Date: 16-Apr-18

Sitting here having my breakfast, watching the sunrise through a few gaps in the clouds. The Weather Guide calendar says normals are 58/38. It is currently 19 and my sidewalk is white with snow. That said, I stuck my head out the door and the robins are singing ... Maybe they know something I don't ...

It ain't April here in Wisconsin...it's the 96th of January!

This just plain sucks!!!

I left my garage door open Saturday, went out a couple hours later, and about 10 refuge seeking birds flew out.

So, I refilled the bird feeder in my front yard...which quickly attracted a few dozen feathered friends...and 5 deer who cleaned it out in short order.

Snowing again...STILL...today, making 4 straight. Gotta head into town to get more bird/deer seed.

We got an inch of snow last night. Jawge

From: Woods Walker

I'm in northern Illinois and there's a good inch of snow on my deck. ENOUGH ALREADY!!! Maybe I'll go burn some tires to increase global warming......

Not in WI. 30" of snow at my cabin in East Central WI. It was driven by winds 25-40 mph. Some drifts are over 7' high. Could get even more this Wed.

Coldest NY spring ever for me. Ice storm Sat. night and yesterday. Never got over 25f yesterday with raging winds up to 6 60 knot gusts, power is out since middle of the night. Now, freezing rain again. Not even any pussywillows out on most of the willow bushes. Rare. Only a few crocuses for flowers. Hasnt been above freezing in the morning since last fall sometime. Even I am ready for a warmup and I usually dont mind the cold. Havent seen many ticks yet though.

Spring has sprung over a dozen times here in Ky! Around 80 Friday and snowing today! It keeps springing and disappearing.

From: Frisky
Date: 16-Apr-18

It's global warming, pushing us into a mini ice age. There's an inverse relationship between the Arctic temps and ours. If the Arctic warms, cold air is forced down on us, as has been happening.
