T4 -
It wicks a little better into cracks than the std thin CAs, and if you don't have direct contact to the areas being glued, it might help. Kinda fitting the tool to the job.

It runs excessively compared to what you are used to, you'll need to takes steps for that in preparation or you'll be trying to clean up a mess in damage control.

In my view $20 isn't jack nowadays. If the product works I'd say that was a good deal.

I normally find it for less than $10 for a decent sized bottle. I think it is probably a 2 oz. It normally gets old before I use it up. Look on Ebay and Amazon or just google it. Hint: Grainger will be the most expensive place to buy it.

George we got my wife and daughter brand new iPhones this weekend. They were 6’s the cost was crazy but switching carriers saved us over $100 a month just because we went prepaid. Doing that changing our electricity provider and cutting the cable cord in favor of streaming has made a significant budget impact in the right direction.
Point is everything is expensive; wood, glass, epoxie, ca. Tried figuring the consumables cost to make a bow and it was a lot more than I thought it would be.

As said before, if you NEED it, there's nothing like it.
EXCEPT,this stuff. It's as good but one quarter the cost and it's shelf life is four times that of the 420.

Is it worth it over other glues?
If I rely on it to fix a $200 bow then it is totally worth it.
Use an insulin syringe and prepare to be amazed!

I also switched to "Wonderlok 'Em Tite Chair Glue". It functions like the 420 (thin and runny cyanoacrylate) but is much cheaper, lasts longer, and can be found at Ace Hardware.

I've used several brands of very thin viscosity CA over the years. I don't have a single complaint about any one of them. All have wicked into cracks the same, all held good, and were larger quantities for less money than Loctite. I think with it, you're paying more for the name.

Hey: just throwing this out there:
I bought some "420" off the "big auction site", and it was sent to me WITH THE EXPIRATION DATE PART OF THE LABEL CUT OFF.
Contacted the seller, and they told me "That's how I got it."
I explained the label is part of the product (etc.,etc.,) and that they were not really truly representing the product.
Got my money refunded, but the seller "banned me" from future purchases.
MORAL: If buying from ANYONE/ANY PLACE online, ask what the expiration date is, as printed on the container. If they can't answer, buy elsewhere....

The last time I bought some, I got EZ Bond, 2oz each of thin, medium, and thick viscosity, with accelerator for $25 on the big auction site. Yep, that's 6oz of CA for 25 bucks. I've used the thin many times, it wicks like magic, and holds great.

most of the CA's are made by one of a couple companies, however the viscosity may vary.
I keep my sale stock in the fridge and it is fresh from the mfg. Or as fresh as they send it out anyway. We generally go through stock in a month or two.

Consider Palm Labs Adhesives ultra thin CA glue. LocTite 420 has a viscosity of 5 cps. Palm labs has 5 cps viscosity and higher. I used the Palm Labs 5 cps CA glue 3-4 years ago to address stress cracks in a bow. Worked great. I THINK the price was <$10 for about an ounce. Ordered direct from them.
They also offered a free sample of a thicker viscosity CA glue-I accepted. I think it was 20 cps-but don’t remember.
I was very happy with product performance and their customer service. Bottom line, there is a viable option to LocTite 420. Palm Labs Adhesives
