Of good alignment is all it is, the "I" word. You will be able to "get the line" right, no matter how you, or what angle you are shooting. It is tho a very close thing usually, within 20 yds.

There are no mysteries or wives tales about it.

It is a discipline like any other method of shooting the Bow and is most superior on moving targets, aerials especially.

Yes, The practitioner must keep himself in a good sequence and proper practice to NOT pick up bad habits like short drawing or missing anchor unless intentionally to make a difficult shot.

I have killed a lot of Game being taught by Paul Brunner's video, "Instinctive shooting" because I had absolutely no other influences or Mentors in my area in the early 90's.

Not until I began hanging out at Tradtalk with Rod Jenkins and manyothers did I learn gapping. That was 2007 on.

Yes, it is a very good way to kill Game, and once learned, you can easily switch back and forth from using the arrow tip like I do now. The one thing I think messes people up to catch TP is not how fast they shoot or even how they aim. It is a lack of discipline in your absolute need to be consistent once you have learned your own method of shooting.

DO not allow yourself to get sloppy, and yes, Do not over bow yourself! Shoot what you can enjoy shooting for at least an hour of practice without fatigue.

Be careful not to complicate your hunting method of shooting with competitions. PRESSURE of your peers in competitions is a major way to get TP.

There are two kinds of Trophies and it takes a good type B personality to be good at both.

Most of us that want the hide and meat are Type A's. We will go in the cold and high Mountains and love it, all in the side effort to get an Animal rather than a plaque, or plastic Trophy. Wewant the Trophy called Cleansing our Souls" and at heart we are Consrvationist and Outdoorsman to the Core of our being. We Bowhunt because we feel the inate draw of our being to associate with what Nature and natural beauty of the Wild gives us.

Yes, Go and shoot 3 D's and enjoy the fellowship of your Brothers and Sisters but pay less attention to winning things and numbers. Toss the scorecards and shoot your way, at your tempo and forget trying to be anyone but yourself.

You can be free to try new things but there is no need to be presurred into anything if you are killing the things you shoot at like Stumps and Deer or Elk. Forget the Trad Police, Do it NOW!

You have nothing to hide and no need to control others or how they shoot. You only owe the Animals you pursue a clean death as much as possible, and if you fail once in a while because of the variables in the field, do the best you can to learn from it and trail as hard as you can to retieve your Game. You will sleep better and know you did your best.

Iam really impressed at how far you all have come, even myself with being civil and the recent conversations her on the LW are impressive to me at the civility compared to my own useless argumentitive attitude of the past.

Keep it up Brothers&Sisters of the Bow. I actually love the Flight of the Arrow and thank you Pat and all the mods for this Sacred place we come. Peace

What's the " I " word? Or shouldn't "I" ask?

Instinctive, a legitimate way of shooting a Bow that really does exist and knowing the origin of the word does not really matter what we call it. Gapping is a legit method also, and all of them are just there and they all work for many archers.

If your alignment is consistent shot after shot day after day then all the subconscious has to do is estimate the the trajectory.
