These Panther IV broadheads were introduced in the mid-1950s and a number of different models were produced. They ranged in ferrule size from 1/4" to 11/32" and from approximately 114 grains to 130 grains in weight. In many ways they were characteristic of the typical 1950s era broadhead, i.e., decent design, mild steel, and popular to a limited extent with bowhunters across the nation. They were still available, on a retail basis, in limited quantities into the early 1970s.

Just a bit more about these Panther IV broadheads,...they are no longer being manufactured and are a collector's item. No broadhead collection would be complete without them. Are they rare? No, they are not. They have been found across the US by numerous collectors, and oftentimes in small quantities. They are a broadhead that a beginning collector will usually pick-up somewhat early in his collecting career. Still though, they represent a broadhead from another era and are a nice piece of old archery tackle to be able to show,...for those reasons alone they have historical value.

Thanks Bill...I understand your History/Collector point of View...A lot of why I hunt/shoot the Bows etc. that I do...has a direct relation to Collector/History...My Collector/History...I've gathered the "Old Stuff" since the late 60s-early 70's as that's what kind of gear and the folks who shoot it drew me to Archery...I asked about the Panther IV's as the only info I could find on the Web was that they were made in 1954...Same as Me...Since it was confirmed they were made during the 50's...I concluded that They would be a Great Treat to Use on my Turkey Hunt in a few weeks...History/Collectors will not need Nor remember the 2 Panther IV I own...But...I will remember using them as they were meant to be used...Especially if they Connect on a Gobbler :)...and will become part of My History...I appreciate Your Viewpoint...Best Regards and again Thank You for Your Information...4finger
