Well, the time has changed to Daylight Savings, which means that Winter just might...might...be soon to leave us. The closing of one season, the opening of another.

And no better time to say "Hello" to the Spring and Summer, than the Annual "Strictly Sticks Traditional Archers 'Archer Appreciation Day'" 3D shoot, next Sunday, March 18!

Another 30 target course awaits you; where, though, on the club property, we don't know yet (as usual a week ahead!!). And, there may be an extra target, since it's easier to set up everything in the Rinehart Hearses than return with one lone critter after 30. All part of the strange lure, the strange mystique of "Strictly Sticks"!!

We'll just need to keep an eye on the coming weeks' weather, to figure where our path may take you. If you've noticed from the beginning of this season, we've added a little bit of new territory and changed things up a bit. Some, made out of necessity (trees fallen over certain parts), and some made out of curiosity, to see if there WERE some good new shot situations to be found.

No matter, though, we'll keep the trademark style of "Sticks" going, with shots you'll love, shots you may cheer over, and shots that may be downright...."challenging".... Heheheheheheheh

So, you are asking now, what makes this particular shoot "Archer Appreciation Day"?

Well, here's the deal: all registered Archers for the day are invited to partake of a complimentary lunch that the Crew will provide, as a "THANK YOU!" to EVERYONE who stopped by during the Winter 2017-2018 Season of 3D shoots! It will probably be set up around 11 AM (plus/minus), inside the clubhouse, where folks can socialize and sit-a-spell, and anticipate the upcoming seasons of practice, scouting, and just getting out there in the warm months.....

Come to shoot with friends and soon-to-be new friends. Come to socialize a bit over the bow and arrow, and afterwards. Come to enjoy the community of Archers while sharing a meal. Sounds like a win-win-win situation all around!

Simple as that!

So, if your schedule is open, we invite all of our Traditional Archery friends, long-time attendees, and new friends, to stop by with bows and arrows in hand. Bring along that new person you met and talked Archery to. Line up who you just might engage in a little group competition. Or, take the course as your own personal challenge and chance to hone your skills.

"Strictly Sticks" is what YOU make of it: we just provide the time, place, and foam critters. And, this shoot, a meal to top it all off.

We hope we'll see you next Sunday! Because, YOU are why we have the shoots!!

THANK YOU!!!!!

Signed: The Crew of "Strictly Sticks"

That's great to hear, Jeff! It's always a pleasure to see Harry!

So it's a pleasure to see Harry but not Jeff?

I get that.

Sounds like fun. Wish I lived closer.

Usually the mutt ranks higher than Dad, I know I'm low on it;)

THat RedBeastmaster sure is a pot-stirrer, isn't he?!!

And if I try to say ANYTHING, like: "Jeff, I didn't mean sound like it's not good to see you"... If I try saying that, well it just sounds like I'm grovelling!!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO: who ever any of you are, who wish to come to "Strictly Sticks", it will be a pleasure to see ALL OF YOU!!

No matter how hard Beastie Boy twists things around!

And Aeronut, if you lived closer, you'd probably laugh as much as you would be shooting arrows at one of the "Sticks" shoots. With folks like the two who've posted here already, there's no way Traditional ARchery could NOT be fun!

Yep, Sue Ann always asks about Hunter. Your name never comes up Jeff. LOL

HC, we owe you for teeing up those easy homers all season! We (I) had a lot of fun at your expense. Thanks ole buddy.

Randy, I plan on being there. I plan on testing out my new set up for 2018. Along with different arrows. Anyway, you still have the sale table? I have a couple things I want to lay out. A bow and maybe arrows of various makes and materials. Also have some nice knives. We aloud to sell knives?

I got enough stuff to take up my own table! LOL I need to clean up my unused items!! ~Wojo

Wojo14, yeppers on the sale/swap/trade tables!!

As long as the "current crew"(!!!!)is setting up "Sticks" events, we'll be doing the events the way WE want to. And that means keeping the sale/swap/trade tables. Bows, arrows, leatherworks, wool items, and ALL related items are A-OK. Just have your name on your items, so if you are out shooting the course, folks will know whose item it is. (Maybe a name and cell number, if you carry a cell phone with you. Cell coverage, though, may be "iffy"...it is Alverton, ya know...). There will be AT LEAST a dozen bows so far for folks to peruse, and some really great leather works, if the regular leather Archers attend.

The "tables" are something I look forward to each shoot: ya just never know what might show up!!!

Glad you'll be able to stop over and shoot, Jason! See ya Sunday!

Good deal. I will make a “sales sheet” to put on table next to my stuff. My cell will be on it. I plan on sticking around and shooting my butt off! Gonna be a nice day and the family is busy, so i gots time! ~Wojo

If any one coming to the shoot has some Morrison ILF limbs they want to possibly get rid of, bring them. I am looking for a set. ~Wojo

"Strictly Sticks" would like to thank the 81 Archers, plus MANY walk-alongs and friends/family, who joined us for today's "Archer Appreciation Day" 3D.

Our Winter 2017-2018 Season wrapped up today, but we will return September 8-9, 2018, for our 2-Day Traditional Weekend.

For our Leatherwaller friends who are on the Facebook site, go to "Strictly Sticks Traditional Archers" for photos, comments, and a sum-up of the day.

Thanks! From The Crew
