Finally found time to wrap this one up. The build along was getting lengthy, figured I would just start a new one. It finished at 50#. The finish is a base of beeswax and lemon oil. Then I wiped in and buffed out about 8 coats of Johnson's, more to come.

The wraps are a 1/4" wide band of royal blue nylon serving, thought it might add a touch of color, not sure Im in love with it, but they are there to stay. The leather is some I got from thee Mr. Jon Stewart. Its whitetail. The piece I chose was scarred and had various surface defects, PERFECT and looks even better after a waxing! It matches the theme of the bows back, worn and weathered. As far as a shooter? Pretty good, I guess :)

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your comments.

Ken, depending on what was used to seal the bow. Urethanes and the like need no future help. Oil finishes like TruOil, Formbys and the concoction I used on this bow like a few coats of wax rubbed in each year, or as often as a guy cares to. I like to add dozens of coats eventually. It gives a great patina after it builds up.

CHRIS, THE TILLER IS OFF!!!!!!!!

Just kidding, what a super nice bow and thanks for the build a long, you cut the nocks for the string on the back of the bow, I thought that was a no no, you do have reinforced tips is that why you could do that. I like the looks, really different and very well thought out and of course the workmanship is second to none.

Thank you all for the kind comments. It means a lot coming from my peers in the hobby.

Ron, I make all my string grooves the same way providing I use over lays, which I do on nearly every bow. If you are not adding overlays then yes, you cant file across the bows back, only the sides. The days of clicking and popping string grooves are long gone with a top groove only. No matter what way the limbs twist or move, the string is always in the grooves and comfy. This is especially handy when I build a static recurve.
