You could PM 2bears... he does it a lot.

I’m just wondering if you orient the fletchings horizontal or vertical???

I did a couple they were OK but I'll stick with 3 fletch.

Put arrow in gig glue cock feather then take arrow out and rotate arrow put arrow back in and glue another cock feather on. Don't rotate the nock reciver just the arrow.

It probably was me. I have commented several times. Don't recall if I started a thread. Yes 2 feathers at 180°. I locate them about 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock. Rotate the fletcher for one of the hen feathers to start. Not the cock feather position. Glue the first feather. Then simply remove the arrow from the jig, and rotate it 180° Bingo 2 fletches at 180° for absolutely total clearance. Every third arrow is free. They look neat, lay and store flat, and seem to ride in a quiver nice. Someday I would like to get one of the great shots to shoot both my 2 & 3 fletch to see if we can tell the difference. With me shooting my rig I can't.Have fun.>>--->Ken

I played with it once on a couple of arrows, using a Bitz. jig and set for 4 fletch I used the 1st and 3rd positions. It worked ok but nothing I'd use on a regular basis.

Mike did you try it what were you findings? Did you shoot them along with your other fletchings from a tuned bow? I didn't use near that much helix and the feathers may not be as tall. Kind of hard to tell from the picture,it is pretty close up.>>---> Ken

I used more feather than needed I'm sure, it was just playin' around one night with a couple of stumping arrows. I thought they flew fine and saw no real difference, I use more helical than most I suppose, I cut them tall because I wasn't sure what the results were going to be, suppose I should try it with my regular size feathers.

Yes that is a lot more feather than I used. You saw no real difference? Me either. I am liking it more all the time. Feathers are getting expensive and I haven't been getting many turkeys. Thanks for replying. >>>----> Ken

I've been going to try this for a long time but haven't yet. Glad to see a post on it.

I think the 1:00/7:00 orientation must be the trick....3/6/9/12... none of those really make sense... I guess the 4-fletch nock receivers must be dialed for 2/4/8/10, eh?

I used the same method as Mike E above, however I used PLASTIC fletching that comes in handy when it's POURING RAIN. IT WORKS GREAT!!!

Matt I just guessed at the 1 and 7 o'clock position. I didn't go look. I will assure you nothing touches the shelf or strike plate.I use a Blitz fletcher. Starting at the second position then rotate the arrow 180°. Now if I can get pictures to work I will show you one of my fun two fletch bamboo arrows. Actually it looks real close to Mike's.>>>----> Ken Can't get the picture to attach here. May I email it to you and you can show it if you wish?

As vthunter said above I just tried an arrow with 2 vanes at 1 and 7 o!clock and it grouped with the 3 feather arrows.shot off the shelf on my longbow. Might have found a rain arrow.

Anything wrong with my 2 fletch? They fly pretty good for me. DBar

Not a thing. They are cool looking feathers. I like them very much for playing with the self bows. >>>----. Ken

DBar - I’d love to get a better look at that first one with the tracer on it!

That particular arra might be on my keepsake rack, Matt. I think Mr Danzn Bar gave it to me a few years back. I was whining about not having one and he yanked it out of his back quiver and gave it me so I'd shut up :)

I think it is a good thing, just not for me. Since I hunt with Woodman heads, I prefer to err on the side of more steering capacity on the nock end of my arrows. I'll stick with three 5" helical.
