Is there anyone who has this bow? Can you give an honest assessment? The one pictured in the website looks awesome. Of course , its only an image. I am looking at short bows 54"-58" Toelke "Pika" is also of interest. The bow supposedly has some Asian influence in its design. Can anybody explain.?Thanks in advance.

Honestly it looks just like a Curtis Byrd Texas recurves, except for the built up brush nocks. Bows like that you need to shoot for yourself. Some love them and some don't. I had one of Curtis' bows for a couple years and it was a great weapon.

Looking at the handle configuration. And actually, that would have been considered a semi-recurve back in the day. Hybrid just sounds better and is easier to spell. ) It's not a longbow either.

A couple of guys shoot them at our Trad Night at the club. They really seem to like them. They appear pretty quick and quiet.

I have a Tanjavur longbow which looks like a slightly longer version of an Inferno. It has the set back Asian influenced handle and slightly recurved limbs. Mine is blazing fast and easily my fastest trad bow. Definitely faster than my Elkheart which I also love. Can't explicitly speak about the Inferno because it may have different limb geometry but if it's like my Tanjavur then it's a great bow.

My buddy Matt has one. I didn't shoot it or draw it. He loves it and it seemed quiet and smooth to me, just watching him shoot it of course. The grip is A+ like all of Greggs grips.

Any remarks on the Java Man Eros? Thanks

Can not really go wrong with either a Toelke or Javaman. I would just call the two bowyers and chat with them for further information.

The “ Inferno” is no longer listed on the website. I have the “Helms Deep” and the grip on it is amazing..

Any comments on the two piece system from Java Man Archery?

Yep, rock solid and easy to use. You wouldn't know it was there if you don't go looking for it.

I have no experience of Java man bows ... however over the past few months I seem to be noticing more and more folks saying good thinks about them on various forums

I have a Javaman Assyrian. Butter smooth for a 60" at my 29" draw. It's the quietest recurve I own. I love it.

It's very easy to talk with Greg and get exactly what you want. He hit my requested draw weight within 0.1 pound.
