TwinOaksbowhunters will be hosting a 2 day open 40 target shoot March17/18 at our range at 1079 Ashley Road, Chapmansboro, TN. 37035. Between Clarksville and Nashville off I 24 W It is open to wheel bows also but we always have a large turn out of Traditional and primitive folks, usually out do the wheel folks by a lot. Pappy, I Checked the cut off time for Sunday after I got your message and it said it was 2 P.M. I guess that's the cut off to sign in, and not when the score cards have to be in? I might try to shoot two divisions again, as usual!

We usually cut off at 5pm for cards Sunday at this shoot, 2pm is card cut off at the TN.Classic because folks travel so far. I will check to be sure, the way you move through a course you should have no problem either way.lol. Pappy

Thanks Shawn, I have been getting some calls so it should turn out to be a good one.We gave out over 200 flyers last weekend at the Expo and folks showed a lot of interest. Pappy

Planning to bring a friend

My memory is getting worse year to year, but I don't think the practice course is open at the 2 Day Open.

It is not officially open at this one John but we let a few Trad. folks slip out on it from time to time. Clyde I checked on the time for cards to be in Sunday, that is on the flyer, it was a mistake, cards must be in by 5 pm Sunday on this shoot, at the Tennessee Classic they must be in by 2 pm . Michael has corrected it on the flyer, sorry for the confusion. Pappy

Average a tad under three hours to get there for the Open Shoot because we go for the day without hauling the trailer, and just grab something to eat on the run.

The Classic is an over four hour drive. Hauling the trailer, stopping for gas,and Nancy and Joshua want a sit down breakfast at a restaurant. That means we are at the mercy of how long it takes to eat. However, I wouldn't miss it, and I'd go even if it took three times longer to get there!

Should be there tomorrow around 10:30. Had to run out and shoot my longbow for a bit to get an arrow to use with it. Plan on shooting two divisions!

Thanks to all that came, we had 148 shooters, so a good turn out. The weather was great Saturday and no rain Sunday, just a little cooler. Good course and lots of fun seemed to be had by all. By the way Clyde, Nancy won her class I am pretty sure and you placed I think 3rd, maybe 2nd. We will get the scores up soon. Thanks to all. Pappy
