Archer's choice for the weekend. Shoot any shot you like and have fun.

If you go to the Spring Fling shoot at Tannehill,AL (or any other shoot for that matter!), take a pic of your first shot on the range and share it!

God Bless,

CD

I shot two at 15 yards quarter, then two at 20 yards straight on

Happy with the results, new folks to archery don't realize how long it takes to tune a new bow, arrows to your style of shooting, I think I finally have gotten this one close.

Bow Self made Hickory rawhide backed 68" 50lbs at 27.5" draw.

Arrows Surewood Doug Fir finished, crested and fletched by me.

It finally stoped raining long enough to do my 1st shot of the day. It started to drizzle again after I took the pics. Sooo,1 shot-n-done. 20yrds 1/4 away while peeking from behind the tree to shoot. A little higher than I wanted. 1st pic is the shot. 2nd pic is the hit. Used my 51# Yellowstone Hunter with Herritage 150s with 145gr points. Was using 200gr points. It might take awhile to reprogram the computer in my head for the weight differance. :^)

Well I haven’t picked up any of my bows in 6-8 weeks. So today while cleaning out the garage I grabbed the Hi speed off it’s peg and sent. quiver full down range. From 23 yds #1 went left skipped off the rock cand went about 100 yds down through the woods. #2center, 3 went right, 4&5 are high. Follow ups got better but I need to get back to regular shooting .

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Mike

Had a break in the rain so I gathered up my gear and headed out, as soon as I opened the door the sky opened up and it was pouring again. Much like USPS though, I didnt let the weather stop me and took a shot from 20 standing. Shooting the 50's Bear Polar longbow 66@ 28 with Surewood shaft.

3 shots from deck at 40 yards. I was aiming at the center of the target. The arrow leaning against the target has a judo point. It hit the bag somewhere and bounced off. Have a good weekend everyone.

I moved at the end of January and that, and the weather, have kept me from joinging the First Shot adventures, but I got a break in the rain and flung three MicroFlite arrows with the Duke of Dalbergia, a 1961 Clan Gordon Custom lefty, from 21 yards.
