I have seen this black and white photo countless times and thought I had it saved on my computer but it appears I don't. Just wondered if anyone might have it and post it? It is of 3 bowhunters packing out their caribou horns and I believe one is Fred Bear, another is Glenn St Charles but I am not sure of who the third hunter is. Searching google came up short handed so I figured I'd come back here which is probably where I first saw it.

hmmmm...cool pic for sure. I see Fred, but not sure if Glenn is in the pic. Bows could be '57 Kodiaks.

The fellow in the middle is Jack Albright[Jocko] and the other is Keith Clemmons[Clem].

Glenn may have taken the photo if Dick Bolding wasn't with them on that trip. Buy Glenn's book "Bows on the Little Delta" and you will see lots of photos.

The picture is from "Grubstake Bowhunt". There is a color version of it n the '59 catalog with Clem in front and Fred in the rear. bvd

I have read Bows on the Little Delta, loaned it out and never got it back. I’ll get another copy and read it again, it’s probably been 10 years ago I last saw that book. Thanks again for all your input and help!

Freeze Frame....STOP!! Look at that pic, take it all in...Woodland Camo, Kodiak Recurves, wooden arrows, Bear razorheads...Bear quivers...GIANT Caribou! Giant Ram! Can you even imagine?? Only one pic/hunt of MANY. The things these men have accomplished,,,the wild places they have hunted....Imagine being in that Pic... Can You? No Sitka Gear, No Kuiu, No Compounds, No Crossbows, No Guides, No Gore-Tex, Just RAW Hunting.....

Damn, it brings me to a place that I wish I was...stirs me to my core...thanks for the pic, I have looked at it a million times....Imagine the campfire stories at camp at nite back then!!!

Have never hunted like they did, and way to old to do it now. I was just a kid when all that was going on. I would have loved to had the opportunity, but then again didn't have the money to do it anyway. I definitely enjoy their books and photos. I just lent out my copy of Bows on the Little Delta. I'll make sure I get it back though.lol
