Bob is getting another bow after the loss of his Graves Magnum, 11/29/17 thread (might have to put her down) His choice was the "Blair" but he has 2 to choose from. He would like your help to decide.

Top -- 60" 47# @ 28" claro walnut with bubinga stripe

Bottom -- 60" 47# @ 28" charcoal spectraply core with spalted maple strip and side veneers.

I HAVE SEEN BOTH BOWS . THEY ARE BOTH VERY NICE . ALL THE BLAIR BOWS SHOOT FANTASTIC, SO ITS A PERSONAL COSMETIC CHOICE ??? L.O.L.----- ISN'T SPALTED MAPLE ABOUT TEN DAYS AWAY FROM ROTTED MAPLE??? I LOVE THEM BOTH , BUT I PICK THE WALNUT ONE. BY THE BY , THOSE ARE REALLY NICE BOW TIPS TOO.

Walnut-15 Spalted Maple-10

From: robbartley
Date: 16-Feb-18

Make it 16 for walnut.

From: Harry-o

How can you not love the Spalted Maple? If it is close to rotten maple then it is rotten GOOD! There is so much going on in the figure in that wood that you can spend hours just getting lost in it. The craftsmanship in the bow tips is remarkable and shows dedication to the art of bow making. I would be honored to own either one but without a doubt, the Maple is the way to go.
