It's a nice set of leather-bound reprints of classic archery books. Some purists turn up their noses at the set because they are not original editions or first editions.

If, like me, you would like to have those volumes to read, whenever you want, the edition may be less important.

It does disappoint me that most of the volumes do not list the original publishing date, just the Derrydale edition date. I like to put the material in historical perspective, so that's a small let down.

I have most of the set. I am missing Toxophilus, Hunting the Hard Way and one or two others. My favorites are the Hill books and Robert Elmer's contributions. There should have been a few other books in the set, but I guess the cost would have been too high.

I do have some duplicates, if anybody is looking to complete their set.

Some are misses. I have an original 1970's coffee table book copy of "The Grey Goose Wing". It has to be coffee table size to be good. The standardized size of all the books diminished some of them.
