Got my New Stalker Wolverine FXT today, bought it off the website in the stock bows section. 62” AMO, 50lbs at 28”, these specs are exactly what I was looking for. This is a beautiful wood combination with footed limbs. Hoping tomorrow’s weather cooperates so I can get out and shoot it!

Thanks guys! My Tall Tines 62” AMO has been my go to bow since I migrated away from the Covert Hunter. I bought a Stalker Wolverine 2 years ago and loved it but it was a tad light. So eventually the right Stalker Wolverine came up and I bought the heavier preferred draw Weight bow. I started Shooting Palmer Bows in 2008 but eventually my go to border bows caused me to lay aside these other more conventional recurves. So fast forward to now.... I have purchased a lighter draw weight Palmer, that is essentially the same specs as my Tall Tines and Stalker Wolverine. I’m not certain which bow I will be taking into the woods next fall but it will be one of these 3. For me, the determining factor is which bow do I shoot the best, across the board from each scenario whether it be elevated stands, sitting in blinds, long range shots, short range, fitted with a bow quiver/ and without, kneeling ect... I shoot say, 78 arrows ( 6 arrow sets) and determine the score, record it and then at some point. I’ll switch up Bows and use the arrows tuned for that bow, and shoot the same series of targets. Distances range from 17 to 44 yds. Once I determine which bow I consistently shoot the best, that’s the one I’ll pick to shoot the rest of the off season and take hunting. So much of my preferences are strictly just personal, they may not matter to anyone else, but they matter to me. I may prefer the grip of one bow, the look of another, the quietness, the dead weight, the limb attachment system.... my relationship with the bowyer, the accuracy at long vs short ranges.... so many variables... right now, all 3 bows are essentially even. Both the Palmer and the Stalker have caught up to the Tall Tines. But time will tell which one emerges as the bow I shoot the best. It sure makes shooting fun!

Beautiful bow. Congratulations!

What is your draw length on that 62 incher?

I have a 60" Palmer. 50# at 28". I pull 27". I had a lot of trouble switching from my longbow grips. Now the only trouble I have is replacing my target more often, I keep wearing out the X :)

I’m drawing 31”, I had mike make the 55lbs at 31” and he hit perfectly. Sounds like you got the grip switching figured out, congratulations! These bows are so fun to shoot!
