For several years now Black Widow and Squapan Mountain Outfitters have joined together on a traditional bear hunt in the northern woods of Maine. Tony Boucher at SPMO has some of the best bear hunting Maine has to offer. With literally thousands of acres of leased land Tony and his crew have awesome bait setups for the traditional shooter with good close shots that make it even more exciting! Roger and Toby usually come with a rack full of Widows. I may be in. I just need to organize my vaca time to see what I'll have for the year.

Anyone going to the Maine bear hunt above? Text me at3197689145 trying to find a way from Bangor to camp. It’s myself and my hunting buddy. If your flying or driving we could help with the costs of getting to and from camp.

You hear a lot about bear hunting in Canada but Maine has really good potential for large bears. I have hunted Maine a few times and the week I took my 250# bear two bears in the 490# range were checked in. That was per the lady at the check station, I did not see them but wow, those are big bears.

The 26th of Aug is a Sunday. I assume you meant Monday the 27th ?

The 26th is check in time and the hunt starts next day which is the 27th which yes is a Monday.
