Shot standing 15 yards two fletched arrows and one bareshaft.

The bareshaft is 26.5" BOP to BON, Douglas Fir, spine 45lbs, 125 grain point.

the two fletched shafts are 27.5" BOP to BON, POCedar, spine 45lbs., 100 grain point.

Bow Bushman 60" Actionboo with two lams of carbon Deflex/Reflex 40lbs.

When I draw the bareshaft the point sits in the middle of my rest, when I draw the fletched shafts the point is just past the back of my grip.

I couldn't use a broad head on either arrow, unless you want to call me three finger Ron.

The arrows are an inch difference in length, same spine, different wood, they were equalled out by using a different point weight.

As you can see they shoot pretty close to the same.

Just passing some info.

The bareshaft is next to the top arrow if the picture isn't large enough to see it.

My 1st shot was at a squirrel at about 20 yrds, give or take a couple. I educated him!:^) Used my 51# Yellowstone Hunter with a 626 gr ash wood arrow. He started to move before the arrow got there. (Jumped the string?) Pic of the hunting equipment used. I modified the field points to look like the "game knabbers" for small game. I educated 4 differant squirrels today. :^) It was fun being out in the woods today.

Not so great shooting for me on this cold fresh snow morning. 16 yards, the first shot deflected off of the front of the deer to the notch in the snow on top of the fence rail.

Well, it’s a good thing it’s still too early for frogs, ‘cuz there would be a massive die-off due to widespread strangulation around here! Cold and wet, wet, WET!

Shouldn’t complain too much, though, because as much as I love snow.... if we got this amount of moisture as snowfall, I’d be a week just shoveling out.....

So anyway.... I decided this was a great opportunity to test my rain jacket, as if I had been caught out in a down-pour. Not sure why any animals would be out and moving in slop like this, but I’ve followed deer off the mountain in a snow-storm more than once....

Anyway, this was supposed to be a 15-yard precision shot with a bare-shaft follow-up. I discovered that the hood really interferes with my sight picture - at least as far as my view of the world is concerned - but I just focused through and did my best. Missed my mark by about 3” with the FS and the bare follow-up was about 1 3/4” farther away.

This jacket is better for keeping dry than for shooting! The string slapped my sleeve, and from inside the hood, it seemed nearly as loud as a .22 Short. Guess I’ll have to look into an arm guard over the top.

Interestingly, I repeated this shot and the fletched arrow landed within an inch of where the first one did...

20 yrds, with my new to me brown recluse...wow this thing is in a whole different league than any bear bow I own. Like a missile launcher and shoots right where i look. I'm going to kill some deer with this thing!
