Just made a pair of stumpers. Hopefully these will be bullet proof and easy to find.
400 spine carbon, with a 100 grain brass insert, aluminum footing, and a 150 grain small game thumper to tip it off.
These bad boys come in at 525 grains which is only 10 grains more than my normal hunting/target arrows.
How about you guys? anyone make up some stumping arrows lately? I'd love to see 'em

Bamboo shafting with aluminum footing are awesome. We've been using reflective tape lately to help with visibility.
I just ran out last weekend, so I've been footing 2117 with other aluminum shafts. So far so good.
Those look really good. The blue should show really well in the brush when a stump jumps the string and the arrow goes astray. Do the thumper heads work better than Judos?

I can't keep the nocks in on carbons-pop out on impact
Do most of my stumping with Douglas Fir, secondary aluminum

Mine are the pink GT blems with pink feathers, aluminum footed with 175gr hex heads. That pink jumps out in the brown leaves.

I had one bamboo stumper with a bullet case on the point and a piece of aluminum shaft for the nock end, and that thing was tuff as nails, no doubt bamboo is the king of durability.
I'd like to get my hands on some reflective tape to add a strip the nock end, sounds like a great idea.
I don't thing anything can beat a judo for pure stumping/roving, but the small game thumper stops an arrow nearly as good, works a lot better out of a back quiver, and really puts a hurting on rabbits.
