I was just playing around with my bow quiver today using a very loose grip. I guess this is why some folks use back Quivers or cat quiver or hip Quivers......

I think The Stalker by Art from Cedar Ridge Leather Works is one of the best Side quiver, back quiver, hip quiver. It seems to be so versatile. A bow quiver can also put torque on your bow. But then again some guys shoot just fine with a Bow quiver.
Check it out !

So, what were you expecting to happen? It's a gravity thing.
Bow quivers are used mostly for hunting. It's not an issue.

Some guys like them because they cant the bow anyways and it feels natural. And it absorbs vibration like limb savers do. But if you hold more vertical, it may take some time to get use to it. And since it's a strap-on, you can take the quiver off after you get to your hunting spot. Looks like you have a nice set-up.

You can get used to it. But you really want to tune your bow and practice with it.

The issue is...some folks don't like the bow canting like that when they hold it. Especially if you are one that doesn't grip the back of the bow. I would be one of those.
You certainly CAN get used to it. However, you don't have to, and if you don't want to, don't.

Love those Thunderhorns!! And because the bow is so lite, any quiver will make it side heavy. Not sure what quiver that is, but have you looked at liter small hoods and arrow grippers? Hate to say it, but that's why I like the small quivers from Fuse/Hoyt...

His bow is a Thunderhorn, and that is as far down as any quiver will slide. It's up against the end of the riser now.

Thunderhorns are very well made quivers and superb looking. For me they were a bit too heavy even in the Small fry model.
Since I like the lightest bow quiver possible I have been shooting Eagles flights smallest 4 arrow quiver hood with the 3 arrow gripper. They also make a 3 arrow quiver hood. The 3 arrow is not very roomy though for larger broadheads.I also like that they sit close to the bow for better balance. Most bowquivers sit out to the side more than the Eagles Flight in my experience.
You might try one sometime and see what you think.

Love bow quivers..they keep everything in a nice handy package. For my style of hunting there is nothing better.

I think with a bow window that short, you almost have to cant. I this case the quiver does it for you. LOL.
The only thing I could ever find wrong with a bow quiver was not having one. That's just me.

Agree with Todd. I like the additional heft/stability a bow quiver adds. Helps quiet the tow, too, imo.
Keep in mind, too, that with even the gentlest of grips, the quiver doesn't really move/torque the bow before the arrow clears at the riser, and after that, who cares.

You adapt to it, and I will disagree about the short sight window needing a cant. I shot Kodiak Mags, and 52" bows for years and used bow quivers, and never canted the bow. I never started canting until the mid to late 1980's and I'm not sure why I did then. I can shoot either way...same style with long or short bows. I think we may think too much sometimes. Once you are at full draw, it's a simple pivot of the wrist to either shoot vertical or canted, nothing mystical for sure. And if I can do it, anyone can.
