Hey guys, dipped my carbon arrows with bohning fletch lac, and thinned it per the instructions. I only dipped 3 for a test run and all 3 had a buildup on the nock end like the paint wouldn’t drip off all the way.
Anyone have a solution for this? Arrows were gold tip pierce micro shafts, all sanded to rough them up and then wiped clean with denatured alcohol.

I do mine with a rattle can. I would think you could buff it down with some superfine steel wool.

Put a nock on the end...paint will run right off. A piece of a soda straw will work also

The small poly "cork" plugs sold by 3r and others will also allow the paint to run off. It builds up on the plug, but doesn't stick and can be peeled off easily.

Better to thin it a bit more and use two coats.

A combination of the suggestions above. Thin it a little more and add some nocks. I have a set of nocks just for crowns.
